Who we are
Pumpiqo is an independent software publisher. We are building manifest and service-record software for liquid-waste haulers: septic pumping companies and grease trap (FOG: fats, oils and grease) service companies, most of them running between one and ten trucks.
This site, pumpiqo.com, publishes the research behind that software. Before a hauler can fill a manifest in a county’s or city’s format, someone has to read that program’s rules and forms. We do that reading and publish what we find.
What we publish
- Guides to individual rule sets: one state, county, city or utility program per page.
- Explainers on pumping intervals, including the common “90 days or 25% full” rule for grease traps.
- Practical guides for running a pumping business: pricing, tank sizes, pumping frequency and hauler permits.
How we write and check each guide
- We start from the primary source. Every rule guide is based on the agency’s own published text: the ordinance, the administrative rule, the program manual or the blank form itself. We do not rely on vendor blogs or forum posts for what a rule requires.
- We link the source. Each guide links to the page or PDF it is based on, so you can read the original wording.
- We date it. Each guide shows when we last checked the source. Rules and forms change, and an old date is a reason to confirm with the agency.
- One question per page. A guide exists only when a jurisdiction has its own rule set, form and source. We do not publish near-identical pages that swap a place name.
- Examples are labeled. Filled-in example manifests use fictional businesses and addresses.
- We correct mistakes. If you spot an error or a rule that has changed, email contact@pumpiqo.com with the jurisdiction and a link to the current source. We review it and update the page and its date.
What we are not
- Pumpiqo is not affiliated with any government agency, including any state environmental or health department, county, city or utility. We do not use agency seals or logos.
- We do not describe any form as “official”, “approved” or “compliant” unless the agency has confirmed our format in writing, and then we quote what it confirmed.
- Our guides are not legal advice. The regulator is the authority on its own rules. When in doubt, check with the agency that runs the program.
- Where a city requires manifests to be submitted through its own portal, we say so. Pumpiqo cannot submit to those portals on your behalf.
